Shalom Brings Life-Changing Peace Within You

mobileShalom affirms God’s Shalom through Bible Studies is imparted within you to help you overcome the trials and tribulations of this wicked world.

What is the meaning of Shalom? It is a Hebrew word with many meanings. It is the Peace that God gives freely to His children. It instills in your completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord, and more. Shalom comes from the root verbs salam/salem/shalam meaning to be complete, perfect, and full.  Without Shalom, there can be no completion. Christians start living a Lifestyle of Peace through the Power of God. Shalom is a blessing, a manifestation of divine grace.

Shalam meaning: “Shalom” is taken from the root word shalam, which means, “to be safe in mind, body, or estate.”. It speaks of completeness, fullness, or a type of wholeness that encourages you to give back — to generously re-pay something good in some way.

Shalom – The Bible’s Word

The Biblical Theme of Peace / Shalom

Preaching the Gospel is at the heart of ministry and is often the core of the pastor’s job. It’s also often the most public part of the profession. Week after week, the pastor must deliver a message to the congregation that is both cogent and relevant to the lives of the people in the pews. Much study and research goes into the crafting of this message. Pastors begin this study in seminary, and it becomes a life-long pursuit.

In Peace / Shalom, James Durlesser and Ron Love have created a volume designed to not only provide thorough exegesis of the biblical theme of Peace / Shalom, but also how that exegesis can be applied to the daily living of the Christian. Throughout this book, the reader will not only find information about how the subject of peace permeates the scriptural canon but will also discover many ways to help the person in the pew have a better understanding of Peace in Scripture as it applies to today’s world, and how it applies to their individual lives.

God the Peacemaker: How Atonement Brings Shalom

In this book you will discover what peace (Shalom) is, and when this is done, we will understand how to achieve it truly, not superficially.

The contradiction to everything rational in the human mind is understandably perplexing-even offensive. In God the Peacemaker, Cole argues that shalom captures the true essence of the term “atonement” and that therefore standing as the central goal of Christ’s death was the atonement or reconciliation of Christ with all things.

Peace definition is “in which God’s authority and power over his created order are seen to dominate his relations with his world, including both the material and human spheres”

Shalom Yesterday, Today, and Forever

Embracing All Three Dimensions of Creation and Redemption.

In the Bible the word shalom means much more than the absence of hostility–it means harmony and prosperity. Shalom refers to life as it was meant to be, as it should be, where sin is gone and love reigns. Readers will be informed as to how expansive the concept of shalom runs throughout Bible Scriptures and also encouraged and edified as they contemplate anew the Lord’s goodness in their life. Christian Living brings peace through the Power of God.

In this book, theologian Mark DeVine employs the well-known but little-studied Hebrew word to illuminate the three dimensions of relationship God the Creator designed human beings to enjoy: (1) the relationship between God and his people, (2) the relationship between God’s people as his children, and (3) the relationship between God and his people in the place, the home God made for them and made them for. DeVine gives special attention to the third dimension, the home God provides to his people.

When you speak the word shalom to others it is a mighty blessing on several levels! Proverbs 18:21 tells us there is life or death in the power of the tongue. Therefore, whenever you employ the word “shalom” you are speaking into someone’s life all the wonderful things that shalom means!

Meaning of Shalom

Prayer, Peace, and the Presence of God:
A 30-Day Journey to Experience the Shalom of Jesus

As believers we are supposed to walk in the peace of Christ, yet we all have stress, anxiety issues, and circumstances that rob us of this peace. A 30-Day Journey to Experience the Shalom of Jesus, Prayer, Peace, and the Presence of God powerfully encourages the reader on how to hold onto that peace in any circumstance.

Prayer, Peace in the Presence of God” is not designed to be read like a book. It is an encouragement as a 30-day prayer guide, designed to be taken in daily doses. Read the content of each day, pray over it, let the prayer and prayer point sink in each day into your soul. Throughout the day as the Lord brings back to mind what you read, continue to process it through prayer.

If you are in the midst of a trial that is robbing you of peace, I recommend taking this journey. This is a way of boosting your faith and surrendering your life to Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
